Canal Digital Plus Spain viewing cards and packages.

We provide a full compliment of channel and package options for the canal digital plus Spanish satellite television service, our viewing cards can be upgraded to suit your own viewing tastes. Satellite television in Spain used to be provided by two seperate companies, Via Digital and Canal Satellite Digital. The Canal Satellite company bought out Via Digital and now you can get a wider selection of channels on the new re-branded Digital Plus service. Canal Digital Plus is a European pay TV provider and normally broadcasts at least two of the EPL matches live on a Saturday.

We provide a full package selection choice and you can choose from the basic service to a full-blown package, and whilst the choice is not as much as the 200-300 channels that you may be used to in the US or UK, you'll have plenty of time to waste with the options. Channel line-ups and packages are listed below.

One of the nice features of the Digital plus Packages is the inherent English friendly features: When available on movies, you can watch the version original (V.O.), which is the English audio track. Many sitcoms and other shows from the U.S., including The Simpsons, Desperate Housewives, Nip Tuck and Seinfeld, are broadcast with both language tracks. On rare occasions you may find another language such as Catalan or German, sometimes even Danish, it really depends on the original soundtrack. Several BBC Films and other UK series have been shown recently. The sports coverage is excellent, and dedicated football channels such as Liga and Barca TV can also be added.

Digital plus had an annual turnover of 80.2million Euro in 2009, making it a substantial player in the payTV markets within Europe. The monies that digital plus have gained from their customers has been ploughed back into the programming content, making the viewing packages attractive to a wide audience, not just sports and football fans.

The Canal Plus Premium sports package, does not include every sports channel available, the suggested addons for football fans are Canal+ Liga, and BarcaTV.

The package boasts: Seven Sports specialty channels where you can enjoy a variety of sports, from the minority niche events to great national and International competitions that no one should miss. La Liga, Premier League, Italian Calcio, Bundesliga, NBA Summer League, U.S. PGA Tour (Golf), MLB (Baseball), NFL (football) are all represented.

In addition, this package comes with a wide range of additional channels providing a good all round entertainment mix:
As example, The new seasons of the best American series such as the premiere of Modern Family (Fox), CSI Season 10 (Axn) and Season 3 of Damages (Canal +).

The children are not forgotten either, the childrens channels air all the kids' favorite series: such as Ben 10 (Cartoon Network) and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (Disney Channel).

Documentary programs are represented too, example. The Limit and Banged up Abroad are being shown on National Geographic and Food Inc is being shown on Canal +.

6 CANAL + Cinema channels and over 80 channels with the best entertainment for a quality television to measure, with the best cinema programming.

The package boasts: Six dedicated cinema channels where you can enjoy a variety of movies, at the time of writing, (Sep 2010) some example movies include Transformers (shown on Canal+), Blade 1, Blade 2, on C+Action, and Spanish favourites such as Tasio (DCine Spanish), or La Conquista del Oeste shown on TCM, there are in total 8 movie channels organized be genre.

As with the sports package, this package comes with a wide range of additional channels providing a good all round entertainment mix: more examples, include The Fringe season 3, on C+Action, and Season 2 of the Vampire Chronicles on TNT. Childrens cinema channels include Cinemagic and recently the series High School Musical 3 has been shown on the Disney Channel.

Standard Spanish National Channels are included, as well as Documentary channels, such as Discovery and National Geographic.

The suggested addons for this package would be the new Canal+ Xtra channel, which includes comprehensive movies, and other events not categorised elsewhere.

CANAL DIGITAL TOTAL PACKAGE

The Total Package is a premium package and contains over 100 channels enabling you to enjoy the most from digital plus. This package includes the Golf channel addon but does not include the other addon channels such as canal+ liga or barcaTV which can be added seperately.

The Total Package is a premium package and contains over 100 channels enabling you to enjoy the most from digital plus.

The viewing card package we provide, contains 10 Canal+ channels for family of unique programming and more than 80 channels it covers all the movies, sports, series, documentaries and children's channels with the exceptions of the add ons shown further down the page. At the time of writing the following examples are some of the programs which were being aired:

Movie premieres, with blockbuster titles: Cell 211, The Box (Canal +), the entertainment channels are showing the new seasons of series: such as Season 3 of True Blood, Season 3 of Fringe (C + Action) and the latest release of Rubicon on (C + Action).

The package contains with seven specialty sport channels, which cover events from La Liga, Premier League, U.S. PGA Tour (Golf), and MLB NBA Summer League (Baseball) and the childrens channels have films such as Up (Cinemagic) and even Animax which shows a lot of the Japanese Animation films not to mention the documentary channels.

The suggested addon for this package is Canal+ Liga, Barca TV for sports fans, or Canal+ xtra for film lovers.

Mezzo - Classical Music, such as Opera and Ballet, Playboy TV - the European version of the American Mens Channel, Caza y Pesca - translates as Hunting and Fishing, BarcaTV which is the dedicated Barca football fans channel with behind scenes insight and more, Canal+ Golf, covering the Golf events and Canal+ Liga football channel. Canal+ Xtra is a new channel which has just launched it will include movies, music and other events not categorised in the specific genre channels.

Two types of Encryption are available Seca and Nagravision (the dedicated boxes supplied by canal digital use Nagravision and the standalone cards for CI receivers can be supplied upon request in the Seca Mediaguard format).

We do not supply the Canal Digital Plus boxes, they are expensive to source, and normally remain the property of canal digital - they are usually loaned and not given or sold to the customers unlike some providers.

We will send out the Nagravision variant of the card. Dedicated iplus boxes are available but due to the costs involved we do not offer them for general sale.
