Premiere
league matches.

establishing the size of dish and type of satellite receiver needed to
view
your favourite teams play football at 3pm live via satellite. We supply
official viewing cards which cover the
English Premiere League and much more, using our
cards, efficient support service
and simple purchase system we will have you up and running in no time.
The latest viewing cards added to our portfolio was those of Canal
Digital Plus group in Spain, as such footprints for Hispasat and Astra
1K, Astra 1R have
been
added.
For the
official subscription cards that we sell on this site here we provide
guidance information and reception footprints to help you assess your
needs
on
appropriate dish sizing for optimal reception. We also point out it is
your responsibility to ensure that you have correct reception equipment
prior to ordering any card, more information can be found in our terms
and conditions.
Refer to
our grid below and the information
provided, clicking the images
will take you to
a dedicated page with larger footprint images and more information,
please note that
the footprints refer to the packages we offer and may not reflect all
packages available from a particular constellation of satellites other
bouquets of channel packages may need a larger
dish depending on your location.
Fans
will be able to select a range of live international football league
games from
UK Premier League, Italian Serie A, Spanish La Liga and South American
Soccer. Numerous games are shown; often much more than is currently
available on Sky UK. We have just updated our Nilesat footprints to
guide you further on suitable dish sizes for Abu Dhabi Sports Channel
and its English Premiere League football coverage. ADMC Sports is
suitable for all Mediterranean locations including
Spain, and Northern Cyprus as
example.
Notes: if
you live outside the footprint
areas then in
some cases you can increase the dish size and still receive the
channels, but a word of caution, if you live outside the footprint area
and are beyond the horizon then you will not receive the signal, as the
signals cannot travel through the earth..
Using
Hotbird as an example the space
craft is sitting above the equator on 13 degrees East at an altitude of
roughly 36,000km so if you imagine a light on top of a 36km high tower
with it´s base at 0 degrees North and 13 degrees east - then if you can
see it you might be able to receive it, in the hotbird example, you can
easily see the satellite from Johannesberg in South Africa but since
its transmission beam is pointing North it does not matter how big the
dish is you just cannot collect any signals from it because in
Johannesberg South Africa you will be behind the beam, like trying to
look into the headlights of a car from behind.
On the
other hand if you live in Pakistan you are outside the official
footprint but relatively close to the edge of it, you may well find
that with a large dish you will collect enough signals, this is known
as fringe reception and is a subject well known to most satellite
installers who provide installation services for expats.
The classic
example of fringe reception in
Europe is for
BBC1, reception from Astra 2D - the problem for fringe reception is
that outside official footprints reception characteristics can vary
wildly over short distances, using Astra 2D as an example it is easy in
some parts of Cyprus to receive using a 3m dish, but in other parts
only a few km away you would need a 4.5 or even 5m dish, for fringe
reception local knowledge is prime, else a very good combined meter
analyser and a lot of calculations to establish what size dish you´d
need. Specialist footprints do exist, and we have added the Astra 2D
fringe map for Spain and its Islands.
To use a
dish under 60cm requires a very
strong signal.
Signal strength on these footprints is indicated by EIRP, power levels
in dbW or dish size contours. Dishes of larger sizes need not be
expensive, throughout Europe it is not uncommon to see sizes of dish
from 30cm to 300cm, on the side of cost though, generally speaking
dishes from 30cm to 100cm are not inexpensive, costs start to gather
pace from 100cm and as a general rule installation and material costs
start to jump dramatically from dish sizes of over 130cm, cheap dishes
can be bought but often have inherrint strength and durability, and
other problems which will impede correct alignment, or the cheaper
materials may not tolerate weather related problems and can leave you
with
lumps of useless steel after the first gusty winter storm.
Depending
on the source dishes of up to
130cm generally
cost from 20EUR up to around 120EUR, above 130cm , the 180´s cost from
100EUR to 500EUR depending on make, quality etc.. 230´s and above
things start to become more expensive, speaking around 300EUR for a
budget 230-240cm dish to 800EUR for a high quality dish, costs of
1000EUR plus is not uncommon for larger sizes.
3pmfooty

Dhabi Sports is particularly good for pubs and sports bars in the
Mediterranean areas such as Spain, France, Italy, North Cyprus, Greek
